A groundbreaking ceremony was held Monday morning for the Paul A. Doerle Sr. Farmers Market Pavilion. The new project will span more than 3,000 square feet, and serve as an open-air pavilion for the Lafayette Artisans and Farmers Market, which is held every Saturday morning.

Moncus Park received a lot of backlash on social media after it was announced that soon residents will have to pay to park. Some residents say that having to pay to park at a park is “ridiculous” while others are not bothered by it.
