SCOTT, La. - Scott Fire Department was dispatched to a residential fire located in the 3000 block of Mills Street on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 5:43AM.

Upon arrival, firefighters observed fire underneath a manufactured home, which was quickly brought under control. Fire Investigators from the Lafayette Fire Department revealed that the fire was intentionally set.

An investigation into the incident has begun. No firefighters or civilians were injured as a result of the fire.

Units from Duson and Carencro Fire Departments responded to assist with extinguishment.
